Additionally, you will receive training in award-reputed company, industry-recognized proprietary design databases. • You will be involved in creating master sketches to reputed company showing relation of proposed installations to existing facilities and exact specifications and dimensions. • You may accompany and assist reputed company designers on walkdowns at reputed company facilities to reputed company information for your design project. • While interfacing with vendors and construction contractors, you may be given reputed company to explain your drawings so appropriate design adjustments can be made. The Successful Applicant • An Associates Degree in Drafting or equivalent technical experience. • Advanced knowledge and 3+ years of experience in the use of of computer drafting tools (MicroStation preferred, but AutoCAD is acceptable.) • Familiarity with Bentley Substation Design. • Ability to visualize Equipment Details, Phase to Ground and Phase to Phase Clearances. • Ability to multi-task from project to project. • Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of a computer. Valued Knowledge/Skills: • An Associates Degree in Computer Aided Design. • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including the ability to relate various equipment to a technical design.
