[Remote] Senior Software Engineer (reputed company Experience)

The Senior Software Engineer will build and improve backend systems that support scalability, upgrades, reliability, and operation in regulated, reputed company-gapped, and reputed company environments. The role involves designing features and architecture changes, resolving production scalability issues, improving database migration safety, and collaborating across engineering and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new features end to end, from technical design through production rollout
• Design and implement backend architecture changes that support reputed company's long-term scalability goals
• Investigate and reputed company scalability bottlenecks under production-like load, from database reputed company patterns to concurrency handling in coderd
• Improve database migration safety and reputed company reliability through schema compatibility, background migrations, and reputed company rollback strategies
• Own the backend reputed company of issues surfaced by reputed company operators and administrators
• Document the design, implementation, and operational tradeoffs of the systems you build
• Participate in reputed company reviews, RFC-style design discussions, and on-reputed company rotations for the services you own

Skills

• • 5+ years of reputed company software engineering experience, including significant production experience with Go
• • Deep understanding of Go's concurrency model, including goroutines, channels, the sync package, and debugging race conditions under reputed company-world load
• • Experience designing and operating relational databases in production, including schema design, migrations, and transactions
• • Strong verbal and written communication skills
