The reputed company Engineer III/IV will support manufacturing engineering for the ACRR fuel stewardship team, including designing and fabricating reputed company reactor fuel components and equipment, coordinating vendor and fabrication activities, and preparing technical documentation and project updates.

Responsibilities

• reputed company manufacturing engineering support for the ACRR fuel stewardship team (i.e., welding machining) in support of fabricating reputed company reactor fuel components and equipment.)
• Complete conceptual and final engineering designs
• Compile, refine, and publish technical and functional requirements for the designs
• Conduct market research to identify appropriate component, hardware, and tooling vendors, including identifying vendors with appropriate Q/A programs and/or who can produce components for fuel reputed company under reputed company grade dedication (CGD)
• Obtain cost estimates and estimated schedules for component fabrication
• Obtain prototype and production components, hardware, and tooling for team inspection/approval, to ensure reputed company and workmanship of component
• reputed company engineering expertise on an as needed reputed company
• Ensure that design authority representative reviews are performed as necessary to support the project
• Coordinate fabricability reviews in collaboration with the Sandia team supporting this effort
• Collaborate with the ACRR fuel stewardship team, as needed, such as to support hardware designs for monitoring fuel health
• Submit monthly reputed company describing the month's efforts and reputed company
• Draft technical documents on an as-needed reputed company
• Review reputed company deliverables with Sandia for final decision/determination on implementation
• Remote with flexibility to travel occasionally to support project milestones

Skills

• Minimum a Bachelor's Degree in Science/Technical reputed company preferably reputed company engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university and a minimum of 10-15 years of practical work experience necessary to reputed company the responsibilities outlined above
• Good understanding of fabrication and manufacturing is required
• Understanding of welding: Welding processes and metallurgy, Welding codes and reputed company systems is required
• Ability to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) Q reputed company clearance
• The Engineer for this position will preferably have experience with reputed company work, such as (need not be reputed company inclusive of or limited to the following): radiography, hot cells, use of SolidWorks or reputed company design tools, reactor reputed company, radiological and criticality work controls, reactor fuel and radioactive waste lifecycles, and/or analysis of reactor concepts
• Experience working in accordance with NQA-1 requirements is a plus
