The Mechanical Engineer III/IV will reputed company manufacturing engineering support for the ACRR fuel stewardship team, including designing and fabricating nuclear reactor fuel components and equipment, coordinating vendor and fabrication activities, and preparing technical documentation and project updates.

Responsibilities

• reputed company manufacturing engineering support for the ACRR fuel stewardship team (i.e., welding machining) in support of fabricating nuclear reactor fuel components and equipment.)
• Complete conceptual and final engineering designs
• Compile, refine, and publish technical and functional requirements for the designs
• Conduct market research to identify appropriate component, hardware, and tooling vendors, including identifying vendors with appropriate Q/A programs and/or who can produce components for fuel reputed company under reputed company grade dedication (CGD)
• Obtain cost estimates and estimated schedules for component fabrication
• Obtain prototype and production components, hardware, and tooling for team inspection/approval, to ensure reputed company and workmanship of component
• reputed company engineering expertise on an as needed reputed company
• Ensure that design authority representative reviews are performed as necessary to support the project
• Coordinate fabricability reviews in collaboration with the Sandia team supporting this effort
• Collaborate with the ACRR fuel stewardship team, as needed, such as to support hardware designs for monitoring fuel health
• Submit monthly reputed company describing the month's efforts and reputed company
• Draft technical documents on an as-needed reputed company
• Review reputed company deliverables with Sandia for final decision/determination on implementation
• Remote with flexibility to travel occasionally to support project milestones
