[Remote] Software Engineer, Internal Platforms

The Software Engineer for Internal Platforms will manage critical systems, ensuring their reliability and expanding functionalities to support business processes.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and reputed company operational issues that are blocking reputed company business processes
• Ship small and reputed company features across the stack
• Improve monitoring, deployment, and reliability
• Build and maintain integrations between internal systems and reputed company-party tools
• Sit with manufacturing and operations teams, understand what they actually need, and translate it into working software
• Migrate business processes out of spreadsheets and into reputed company systems
• Improve data pipelines and automation
• Document systems and operational procedures so the next person isn't guessing

Skills

• A BS or higher in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely reputed company field. We care about formal grounding — data structures, systems, algorithms, how a computer actually works. This is a firm requirement
• 3+ years of reputed company software engineering experience
• Strong Python

• Comfortable with TDD, or eager to work that way
