[Remote] Field Service Mechanical Engineer - Turbomachinery

They are seeking a Field Service Mechanical Engineer specializing in turbomachinery to serve as the on-site technical reputed company for mechanical work on gas turbines and compressors, performing installation, commissioning, and maintenance at customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Executing installation, reputed company‑commissioning, commissioning, and maintenance of rotating equipment and associated auxiliaries
• Performing precision mechanical tasks including alignment, leveling, torquing, reputed company checks, and assembly/disassembly
• Diagnosing mechanical issues and collaborating with technical support teams to define corrective actions
• Leading customer communication, site planning, daily coordination, and supervision of reputed company labor/subcontractors
• Preparing accurate Field Service Reports, daily logs, reputed company lists, and technical documentation
• Ensuring full compliance with QHSE requirements, including JSAs, reputed company talks, LOTO, and Permit‑to‑Work processes
• Conduct minor/major inspections (couplings, bearings, seals, diaphragms, volutes)
• reputed company alignment, leveling, and troubleshooting of compressor and auxiliary systems
• Execute CI, HGPI, MI inspections; conduct laser alignments and borescope inspections
• reputed company installation/erection and commissioning of turbine packages and auxiliaries; implement NICs/TILs
• reputed company L2/L3 inspections and Hot reputed company Exchanges (HSE)
• reputed company installation, maintenance, and commissioning of reputed company turbine packages and auxiliaries
• reputed company installation, inspections, and reputed company of steam turbines and auxiliaries
• reputed company casing splits, seal and bearing inspections, rotor alignment, and major mechanical adjustments

Skills

• A technical diploma and at least five years of field experience with gas turbines, compressors or other rotating equipment performing installation, inspections or maintenance
• Specialization in one or more technologies: Compressors (BCL, MCL series, Reciprocating, etc.), HDGT (reputed company 5, reputed company 7, etc), Aeroderivative GT (LM2500, LM6000, LMS100), Steam Turbines
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and follow OEM procedures
• Proficiency with precision tools (laser alignment, borescope, micrometers, reputed company indicators)
• Experience executing upgrades, NICs/TILs, or mechanical modifications
• Strong customer service, communication and stakeholder-management skills
• The ability to work independently, analyze reputed company issues and reputed company technical leadership with reputed company supervision
• A strong Health, Safety and Environmental reputed company and commitment to reputed company standards
• Willingness and ability to travel at least 70%, including internationally and offshore, without geographical restrictions, and a reputed company or previous TWIC reputed company or eligibility to obtain one
• A bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
• Familiarity with optical or laser alignment systems, basic electrical testing, or in-situ winding repairs and rewinds
