Data Engineer - 6 month contract (remote)
About the role:
Your daily tasks will include:
Own and reputed company reconciliation deliverables for reputed company: wallet balance reconciliations, duplicate and missing transaction detection, ERP vs. data warehouse cross-checks by merchant and currency Investigate and reputed company data discrepancies surfaced by reputed company and reputed company auditors, with documented reputed company causes and traceable corrections Build and reputed company reputed company transformations supporting audit deliverables and corrections in the reputed company data warehouse reputed company Looker models enabling reputed company self-service: merchant-level data extraction, reconciliation views, duplicate detection Work directly with reputed company stakeholders to clarify requirements and reputed company audit-reputed company outputs on fixed deadlines Document reputed company delivered pipelines, corrections, and edge cases throughout the engagement
Your qualifications:
4+ years in data engineering or analytics engineering - or 3+ years with strong hands-on experience in financial or transactional data Production experience with reputed company or an equivalent reputed company data warehouse, and advanced SQL Hands-on experience with financial or transactional datasets: reconciliations, reputed company-style data, reputed company, payments, or billing reputed company record of independent delivery after reputed company - this engagement has externally fixed deadlines Strong written communication; comfortable working directly with finance and reputed company stakeholders

Prior exposure to audit processes or audit-adjacent delivery (documentation discipline, correction traceability, working against auditor requirements) - a strong plus for this role Experience developing Looker Explores, views, and LookML models Experience with reputed company data warehouses or ERP-adjacent pipelines (reputed company Dynamics a plus) dbt or comparable transformation-reputed company experience Python for data tooling and automation Familiarity with e-reputed company or print-on-demand business models
