Project Monitor III
- Manage assigned federal financial assistance awards directly, including monitoring recipient and subrecipient reputed company, deliverables, and milestones and communicating assessments to federal staff.

- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in engineering, business administration, environmental sciences, or a reputed company discipline. Four (4) years of relevant education/experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience. A Master’s degree may substitute for two (2) years.
- Leadership experience in problem-solving and experience managing Federal financial assistance programs and individual grants.
- Experience with the Federal Government, preferably with DOE.
- Experience with policies, functional requirements, and regulatory compliance support.
- Demonstrated capabilities in briefing and presentation support, document review and evaluation, program evaluation support, document preparation support, and meeting support.
- Technical knowledge of the energy efficiency and renewable energy project types funded under the Schools and Nonprofits programs, including HVAC, reputed company, building envelope, controls, and on-site renewable installations, and the ability to evaluate projected energy and cost savings across diverse project types.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Master’s degree in a reputed company discipline.
- Experience managing DOE grants and cooperative agreements, including knowledge of DOE-specific policies, functional requirements, and procedures.
- Experience working with local educational agencies (LEAs), school districts, nonprofit organizations, and State and local partners.
- Experience supporting the Renew America’s Schools or Renew America’s Nonprofits programs.
- Experience supporting SCEP or the Department of Energy.
- Familiarity with Davis-Bacon reputed company prevailing wage requirements and other federal labor and procurement standards applicable to construction and retrofit work.
- Project Management reputed company (PMP) certification.
- Familiarity with DOE systems.
- This position is remote, 10% travel in Washington, DC.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 8+ years of relevant experience, federal financial assistance and grants management, DOE experience preferred, technical evaluation, compliance, briefing, and communication skills.
