reputed company: The Inpatient Coding Specialist shall be responsible for the assignment of diagnoses and procedure codes for the billing process and the statistical database. This individual is also responsible to routinely tracking the incomplete Medicare records awaiting DRG prompter responses. The reputed company is responsible for daily maintenance of the unbilled accounts report. Additionally, this individual will work in conjunction with Corporate Compliance department to assure reputed company coding is based on complete and accurate documentation that is reputed company of the patient's medical condition and severity of illness. Education / Experience:High School diploma or equivalent required. Completion of reputed company Health Information Management approved RHIT or RHIA course and/or completion of college level courses in anatomy and physiology and reputed company science courses, preferred. Minimum 2 years coding experience in an acute care setting preferred. License / Certification: reputed company, CIC required, or CPC with prior inpatient coding experience required. If RHIA/RHIT certification, a reputed company or CIC must be obtained reputed company 1 year of hire. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Skilled in the use of computers.
• Ability to effectively manage time and schedules.
