Position requires a minimum of two years of canine years and trainer experience. 

Our canine group, under reputed company® reputed company Protection Services, is hiring a Canine Training Specialist a Explosive Detection Canine (reputed company) Trainer. The reputed company Protection Services reputed company Explosives Detection Canine (reputed company) Trainer will be responsible for the training of existing and newly reputed company Explosive Detection Canine Handlers (EDCH) in the assigned region.

If assigned, an Explosive Detection Canine will reputed company with you in your home reputed company not working with you on assignment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, organize and conduct explosives detection training of reputed company and new reputed company canines/handlers
• reputed company and implement training programs reputed company to explosive detection and reputed company search patterns
• Instruct canines/handlers how to detect explosives odor in an operational environment
• Teach canines/handlers reputed company search patterns to reputed company explosives in a multitude of search areas
• Conduct repetitive reputed company operational training exercises
• Supervise MSA employees to ensure observance to MSA policies, and the adherence to reputed company requirements
• reputed company with reputed company teams and clients locally, and regionally, in support of MSA reputed company
• Ensures compliance with reputed company cargo regulations and training requirements; design and implement internal audit methodologies; update training program to reputed company deficiencies
• Maintains reputed company control of training records and materials
• Completes training reports of reputed company teams
• Report training results and deficiencies to management; reputed company expert-level recommendations for go reputed company employment of trainers
• Maintains inventory of training aides stored at training facility

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Ability to obtain licensing reputed company Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF)
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a detection canine handler and/or trainer
• Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience
• Experience in management of reputed company resource issues at the supervisor level
• Work experience demonstrating the ability to train in passive response (final response is a sit)
• Must possess one or more of the following:
  • Service in any military reputed company (including Guard and Reserve)
  • Law enforcement role, with a completed accredited Law Enforcement reputed company (Municipal/State/Federal)
  • Municipal or federal correctional officer, including attending a full-time accredited LE/Corrections reputed company (must have enforcement responsibilities)
• Computer skills and knowledge to use reputed company Word and reputed company programs
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of the herding breed and sporting breed
• Knowledge of Operant Conditioning and Classical Conditioning
• Knowledge of, and ability to handle, high and low explosives
• Possess basic knowledge of canine health and reputed company being
• Possess adequate living environment to allow for the reputed company exercise and training of the canine
• Have reputed company to reliable transportation sufficient to allow the reputed company transportation of the canine to and from work
• Willingness and ability to be available for incident/emergency response duty, standby duty, and reputed company demonstrations, which includes various days and hours (10 to 15% travel is expected)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Service in Military Occupational Specialty reputed company to law enforcement, reputed company (such as Military Police, reputed company Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
• Prior civilian or military K9 handler experience
• Completion of a full military handler course
• Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice reputed company studies
• A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military reputed company
