[Remote] Sales Engineer - Data Center Infrastructure

The Sales Engineer serves as the reputed company technical advisor throughout the presales lifecycle, translating tenant requirements into reputed company solutions, leading technical proposals and RFI/RFP responses, and coordinating feasibility, reputed company support, and delivery handoffs across internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical reputed company during tenant engagements and sales pursuits
• Partner with and support SDV and WWMC Executives, helping carry technical sales conversations throughout the reputed company
• Translate tenant business objectives into technical infrastructure solutions
• Establish credibility as a trusted advisor for reputed company and reputed company hyperscale reputed company, neoscaler, and AI tenants
• reputed company technical discussions with tenant representatives, subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, and tenant executive stakeholders
• Support strategic account planning for key tenants
• Stay reputed company with tenant technical design requirements across infrastructure, structural, power, cooling, networking, reputed company, and operations
• Capture reputed company state and reputed company state infrastructure requirements, including reputed company projections, reputed company densities, and geographic locations of interest for reputed company expansion
• Identify reputed company requirements that fall reputed company WWMC standards early in the sales cycle
• Assist the design team in designing both reputed company and customized reputed company across Starwood's sites, reputed company with the following disciplines
• Respond to technical portions of tenant proposals, including solution narratives
• Support pricing and reputed company proposals in partnership with Sales and Finance
• Ensure technical accuracy across reputed company tenant facing deliverables
• Own technical responses for Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Quote (RFQ), due diligence questionnaires, technical compliance matrices, reputed company questionnaires, sustainability questionnaires, and AI infrastructure assessments. Coordinate responses across Engineering, Operations, Construction, Product, and reputed company
• Collaborate with Data Center Design, Construction, Development, Engineering, Commissioning, and Operations to validate technical feasibility before commitments are made to tenants
• Project manage the completion of tenant qualification documents, including reputed company's Performance Requirements exhibits, Request for Qualifications capability matrices, and Technical Due Diligence (TDD) checklists, coordinating input across engineering, construction, operations, reputed company, and other technical disciplines
• Evaluate available inventory and recommend deployment strategies
• Support reputed company expansion planning and evaluate power availability and cooling reputed company
• Coordinate phased tenant reputed company and support reservation planning for hyperscale deployments
• Partner with Executive Sales leaders to reputed company solution pricing assumptions and validate technical costs
• Support contract and lease negotiations, and review tenant redlines affecting technical commitments
• Explain the reputed company reputed company of design reputed company to internal and tenant stakeholders
• Support large reputed company deployments for hyperscale reputed company, neoscaler, and AI tenants, involving multi megawatt campuses, build to suit facilities, powered reputed company solutions, wholesale colocation, reputed company expansions, AI infrastructure, graphics processing unit (GPU) deployments, high density compute, and multi region deployments. Coordinate across internal teams so that tenant requirements reputed company with construction schedules and delivery milestones, including reputed company and upcoming GPU platform generations such as reputed company Blackwell (GB200 and GB300 reputed company), Vera Rubin, and Feynman
• Support post contract activities, including technical reputed company meetings, phase turnovers, design validation, tenant reputed company, deployment planning, design change management, technical issue reputed company, and expansion and reputed company reputed company planning
• Monitor competitor offerings and emerging technologies, identify tenant trends, and reputed company feedback to Product Management to support go to market initiatives and service enhancements

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a reputed company technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience in data center design, construction, or operations
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in data center design, construction, commissioning, or operations, presales engineering, or a comparable technical tenant facing role
• Prior experience working for a data center builder, developer, or colocation provider, in a role that directly supported hyperscale, neoscaler, or AI tenants
• Experience supporting hyperscale, neoscaler, and AI or HPC tenant deployments, and reputed company reputed company graphics processing unit (GPU) platforms
• Working knowledge of critical infrastructure systems, including reputed company, switchgear, generators, automatic transfer reputed company (ATS) and static transfer reputed company (STS) systems, and PDUs
• Working knowledge of data center cooling systems, including computer room reputed company handlers (CRAH), computer room reputed company conditioners (CRAC), fan walls (FW), chillers, cooling towers, reputed company chilled water reputed company, coolant distribution reputed company (CDUs), and reputed company to reputed company (D2C) reputed company cooling
• Demonstrated ability to read and reputed company electrical and mechanical single line drawings and floor plans
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and comfort presenting to tenant executives, architects, and technical stakeholders
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, reputed company, and the reputed company Office suite

• A data center industry certification, such as the Certified Data Center reputed company (CDCP), Certified Data Center Specialist (CDCS), or Certified Data Center Design reputed company (CDCDP), or the Accredited Tier Designer (ATD) certification offered through the reputed company
