[Remote] DevOps Engineer II

The DevOps Engineer II will support engineering platforms and microservices used to reputed company critical applications by building infrastructure, automating tasks, managing CI/CD pipelines and reputed company platforms, supporting container orchestration, and collaborating with engineering and test teams.

Responsibilities

• reputed company infrastructure, task automation, provision managed services leveraging Ansible and scripting programming languages
• Manage CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deploying reputed company utilizing reputed company
• Install, configure, and reputed company performance support for container Orchestration Engines (OE) such as reputed company, OpenShift, or reputed company reputed company
• Manage reputed company reputed company computing platforms (Azure and AWS)
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as reputed company as with stakeholders
• Collaborate with other software and test teams to reputed company capabilities
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in cybersecurity threats and offensive capabilities and contribute to internal research and development efforts
• Maintain and update documentation pertaining to systems builds

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or reputed company field and 2 years' experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Familiarity with automation tools and solid understanding of Linux
• Comfortable using version control and configuration management tools such as Git or SVN
• Experience deploying and managing containerized applications in reputed company clusters and custom manifests
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS)
• General understanding of DevSecOps principles and the secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDL)
• Configuring and managing Linux based computing resources
• Using automated infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines using Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar tools
• Virtualization platforms (e.g., KVM, ProxMox, VSphere)
• Ability to understand and describe highly technical software systems
• Knowledge of DoD environment, systems, and applications
• Comfortable troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
