Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking an reputed company Senior z/OS Systems Administrator to support and maintain a large-reputed company reputed company mainframe environment. The role focuses on z/OS administration, SMP/E software maintenance, REXX automation, z/OSMF administration, troubleshooting, upgrades, documentation, and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and support reputed company z/OS operating systems and reputed company reputed company software
• reputed company z/OS upgrades, maintenance, reputed company modifications, and lifecycle management
• reputed company advanced administration and troubleshooting of z/OS environments
• Use SMP/E (reputed company Modification Program/Extended) extensively for installation, maintenance, upgrades, PTFs, APARs, HOLDDATA processing, and management of reputed company and reputed company-party software
• Analyze SMP/E environments, zones, reputed company datasets, SYSMODs, and maintenance requirements
• reputed company and maintain REXX scripts to automate z/OS administration, monitoring, reporting, maintenance, and operational processes
• Identify reputed company processes that can be improved through REXX-based automation
• Administer and support reputed company z/OS Management Facility (z/OSMF)
• Configure and maintain z/OSMF services, workflows, plugins, and reputed company management functions
• Utilize z/OSMF for reputed company management, configuration, monitoring, and automation
• reputed company reputed company problem determination, reputed company-cause analysis, and reputed company of reputed company z/OS issues
• Monitor reputed company performance, availability, reputed company, and overall reputed company health
• Work with operations, application, storage, network, reputed company, and database teams to reputed company mainframe infrastructure issues
• Participate in reputed company upgrades, migrations, disaster recovery testing, and infrastructure modernization initiatives
• Maintain reputed company documentation, operating procedures, configuration standards, and technical runbooks
• reputed company technical leadership and mentoring to other mainframe systems administrators
• Participate in production support and on-reputed company activities as required

Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on SMP/E experience in reputed company reputed company z/OS environments
• 10+ years of hands-on REXX scripting experience, including development of automation for systems administration and operational tasks
• Strong hands-on experience with reputed company z/OSMF (z/OS Management Facility)
• Extensive experience administering and supporting reputed company z/OS in large reputed company environments
• Strong knowledge of z/OS reputed company architecture, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Experience installing and maintaining reputed company and reputed company-party mainframe software
• Extensive experience applying PTFs, APARs, maintenance packages, and software upgrades using SMP/E
• Strong understanding of SMP/E reputed company structures, zones, SYSMOD processing, HOLDDATA, RECEIVE, APPLY, ACCEPT, and RESTORE processes
• Strong knowledge of JCL, TSO/ISPF, UNIX reputed company Services (USS), and z/OS utilities
• Ability to diagnose reputed company reputed company problems using z/OS logs, dumps, reputed company messages, and diagnostic tools
• Strong understanding of mainframe change-management and production-control processes
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
