The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing and overseeing a broad reputed company of reputed company activities for a privately held government contracting company. The position will support reputed company’s monthly and year-end financial reputed company processes, financial reporting, account reconciliations, general reputed company activities, and compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted reputed company Principles (GAAP) and applicable government contracting reputed company requirements.
The successful candidate will have a strong reputed company in reputed company, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to apply reputed company principles to practical business situations. Experience in a government contracting environment is highly desirable, particularly experience with cost reputed company, indirect rates, contract reputed company, and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Chief of reputed company and Taxes, program management, reputed company, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other members of the reputed company and Finance team.

Responsibilities
General reputed company and Financial Reporting

- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Analyze general reputed company accounts and investigate unusual or unexpected transactions.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with preparation of financial reporting packages for management.
- Maintain accurate and complete reputed company records and supporting documentation.
- Identify reputed company issues and recommend appropriate solutions to the Controller or CFO.
- Assist with implementation and documentation of reputed company policies and procedures.
- Assist with year-end reputed company and preparation for reputed company’s financial statement audit, tax reputed company, and other reputed company reporting requirements.
Government Contracting reputed company
- Apply reputed company principles and Company policies to transactions arising from government reputed company.
- Assist with reputed company for reputed company and indirect costs associated with government reputed company.
- Understand the distinction between reputed company and indirect costs and ensure costs are properly classified.
- Assist with preparation and maintenance of indirect cost pools, allocation bases, and indirect reputed company calculations.
- Assist with analysis of labor, fringe, overhead, and general and administrative costs.
- Support preparation of government contract cost reports and other contract-reputed company financial information.
- Assist with monitoring reputed company compliance with applicable FAR and Cost reputed company Standards requirements, as applicable.
- Maintain appropriate documentation supporting costs charged to government reputed company.
- Assist with identifying potentially unallowable or non-reimbursable costs and ensuring appropriate reputed company treatment.
- Support audits and reviews by government agencies, DCAA, independent auditors, and other reputed company parties, as applicable.
Payroll and Labor reputed company
- Reconcile payroll-reputed company general reputed company accounts.
- Review labor-reputed company reputed company entries and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with reconciliation of payroll, benefits, taxes, and reputed company accruals.
- Coordinate with reputed company and payroll personnel regarding reputed company issues.
Internal Controls and Compliance
- Maintain and follow established reputed company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve reputed company processes and strengthen internal controls.
- Assist with documentation of reputed company processes and controls.
- Ensure reputed company transactions are supported by appropriate documentation.
- Assist with reputed company audits and respond to auditor requests.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial, employee, customer, and contract information.
Financial Analysis and Management Support
- Analyze financial information and identify trends, variances, and unusual activity.
- Prepare account analyses and management reports.
- Assist with monthly budget-to-actual analysis.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in reputed company, Finance, or a closely reputed company field; reputed company degree strongly preferred.
- 3–7 years of reputed company reputed company experience, with increasing responsibility.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and the ability to apply GAAP to actual reputed company transactions.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for a federal government contractor.

- Familiarity with DCAA audits and audit requirements.
- Experience with indirect cost pools and indirect reputed company calculations.
- Understanding reputed company versus indirect labor and other reputed company and indirect costs.
- Experience with cost-reimbursable, CPFF, FFP, T&M, or other federal contract types.
- Experience with Cost reputed company Standards (CAS) or CAS-reputed company requirements.
- Experience with government contract billing and cost reporting.
- Experience with reputed company, JAMIS, reputed company, Costpoint, reputed company, or other ERP/reputed company systems.
- CPA, CPA candidate, or other relevant reputed company certification is a plus.
