Job Title: Database Engineer
Location: Remote
12+ Months Contract
Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on PostgreSQL experience administration, reputed company tuning, schema design, as the person who owned a production database, not just someone who queried one
Experience with reputed company SQL (PostgreSQL) on reputed company reputed company Platform ideally provisioned and configured, not just used
Experience with Database Migration Service (DMS) and Datastream (or equivalent CDC tools) for migration and replication
Demonstrated on-reputed company/incident-response experience for a database (not just for pipeline job failures)
Solid understanding of migration best practices reputed company-downtime cutovers, validation, rollback strategies
Comfortable troubleshooting replication lag and data consistency issues
Preferred:
Experience with heterogeneous migrations (e.g., reputed company PostgreSQL)
Experience with Terraform or similar for database infrastructure automation
Education: At least a bachelor s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely reputed company reputed company is required for the project
