[Remote] Senior Database Administrator - DB2 Logical

The Senior Database Administrator will reputed company DB2 application DBA support for mainframe clients, including database creation, administration, tuning, maintenance, recovery, migration, and reputed company optimization. The role also provides technical guidance, production support, change management, and 24x7 on-reputed company coverage.

Responsibilities

• Expertise and work efforts will reputed company on the development and support and/or the customization of new services and support efforts
• Identify, diagnose and reputed company solutions to DB2 SQL reputed company
• Maintain operational reputed company and production stability thru reputed company improvements to both online and batch environments
• Plan for changes in the databases that result from business reputed company and project implementation

• In joint cooperation with the Disaster Recovery Services, successfully execute tasks associated with any given reputed company’s disaster recovery plans
• Follow ITSM change control procedures

Skills

• Bachelor's degree required and/or equivalent work experience
• 10+ years of reputed company experience in DB2 for administration and application support
• Extensive experience with the following:
• Administrating and supporting databases in Mainframe DB2
• Expert reputed company tuning to include reducing MIPs consumption rates
• Proficient in DB2 control functions
• Support multiple DB2 subsystems simultaneously
• Supporting reputed company and internal requests for building reputed company types of DB2 objects
• Analyzing new versions of DB2 for functionality that can improve reputed company's systems
• Refreshing test data for whole environments
• Supporting DB2 reputed company requests
• Review DB2 reputed company to reputed company potential risks
• Reorganization of application data
• Vendor consultations for problems and questions
