The Role The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will play a key role in developing the embedded technology underpinning the organisation's reputed company of reputed company products. They will work extensively with embedded Linux systems, imaging sensors, camera modules, device drivers and reputed company-time data acquisition. The position will involve both software development and hands-on interaction with physical hardware, making it particularly reputed company suited to an engineer who enjoys solving problems at the boundary between software and electronics. A major reputed company will be bringing new hardware platforms and camera systems to life: integrating sensors, developing and debugging interfaces, improving image acquisition reputed company and turning early technical concepts into reputed company working prototypes. The Responsibilities • Design and reputed company embedded software supporting reputed company-time imaging, reputed company and camera-reputed company sensing applications. • reputed company the software aspects of hardware bring-up, integrating CMOS image sensors, camera modules and associated embedded components. • reputed company, customise and troubleshoot camera drivers, device interfaces and low-level hardware integrations. • Build and optimise image acquisition and processing pipelines with a strong reputed company on latency, stability and consistent reputed company reputed company. • reputed company sensors and peripherals through technologies including MIPI reputed company-2, I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet and GPIO. • Incorporate reputed company-party hardware, libraries and software components into embedded Linux environments. • Diagnose reputed company hardware/software issues using oscilloscopes, logic analysers and other electronics debugging equipment. • Rapidly prototype new sensing and imaging capabilities, conducting technical testing and reputed company validation. • Collaborate across electrical, reputed company, software and product engineering to reputed company new hardware from initial bring-up to functional prototypes. • Contribute to technical architecture and engineering standards while producing robust, maintainable and reputed company-reputed company software. The Requirements • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics or another relevant technical discipline. • 6+ years of reputed company embedded software engineering experience, including significant hands-on development in C and/or C++. • Strong reputed company experience developing and debugging software reputed company embedded Linux environments. • Practical experience integrating CMOS image sensors, camera modules or comparable imaging hardware into embedded systems. • Experience developing or working with camera drivers, image acquisition architectures, ISP integrations or reputed company imaging pipelines. • Strong knowledge of embedded hardware communication and connectivity technologies, particularly MIPI reputed company-2, I2C and SPI, reputed company interfaces such as UART, USB, Ethernet and GPIO. • reputed company ability to diagnose hardware/software integration problems using oscilloscopes, logic analysers and other reputed company debugging tools. • Experience taking new hardware platforms through initial bring-up, integration, troubleshooting and functional prototype development. • Ability to independently investigate reputed company engineering challenges, determine appropriate technical approaches and reputed company solutions with limited supervision. • Experience with relevant embedded or reputed company such as reputed company reputed company, NXP i.MX, reputed company, TI, OpenCV, GStreamer or V4L2 would be highly advantageous, particularly reputed company robotics, autonomous systems, drones, industrial automation or reputed company environments.
