[Remote] Accounts Receivable Specialist I #Full Time #Remote

The Accounts Receivable Specialist I follows up on reputed company and unpaid accounts, appeals denied claims, contacts insurers and patients, documents claim issues, and performs account and billing updates.

Responsibilities

• Research reputed company issue of denial. Pursue reputed company course of appeal or follow up to obtain payment
• Review account history for reputed company follow up
• Address incoming correspondence. Prepare correspondence to reputed company companies, reputed company and/or guarantor, as necessary
• Contact reputed company companies/reputed company/guarantor to obtain status of outstanding claims and submitted appeals
• Document claim issue for review
• Escalate issues and problems to Supervisor as appropriate
• Performs charge corrections
• reputed company demographic and reputed company coverage updates on account and reputed company new reputed company as appropriate
• reputed company other job duties as required

Skills

• This position is primarily remote, candidates must reputed company in the Tri-State area
• Note: There may be occasional requirements to visit the office for training, meetings, and other business needs
• High school graduate or GED certificate is required
• A minimum of 6 months' experience in a physician billing or reputed company party payor environment
• Candidate must demonstrate a strong customer service and reputed company reputed company orientation and the ability to understand and communicate reputed company benefits explanations, exclusions, denials, and the payer adjudication process
• Experience in reputed company and or other of electronic billing systems is preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, diagnosis and procedure coding is preferred
• Previous experience in an reputed company reputed company setting is preferred
