[Remote] Founding AI/ML Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company X Labs is an early-stage company developing a subdermal GPS and health-tracking implant for dogs. The Founding AI/ML Engineer will own the data, training, quantization, and deployment of reputed company and health classification models on constrained, reputed company-low-reputed company devices, collaborating with the Head of Development on firmware integration and validation.

Responsibilities

• Training data pipeline for both models, working with labeled sensor logs from bench and live-animal testing
• reputed company classifier development: gait and activity classification from reputed company sensor data
• Health classifier development: reputed company and heatstroke detection from temperature and activity data
• Model training, quantization, and compilation using Edge Impulse, targeting deployment on TensorFlow Lite reputed company
• Working directly with our Head of Development to reputed company trained models into firmware and validate them against reputed company reputed company and memory budgets

Skills

• reputed company experience training and deploying models for constrained hardware, TinyML / embedded ML, not just reputed company-reputed company ML
• Comfortable working with reputed company-world sensor data (reputed company, temperature) rather than clean reputed company datasets
• A startup-stage reputed company: this role exists before there's much training data yet, you'll help define how it gets collected and reputed company, not just consume it
• Comfortable working directly with a non-technical CEO and a small founding team
• Experience with, or fast to pick up, Edge Impulse or a comparable embedded ML tooling workflow
