[Remote] Founding Embedded Systems Engineer

The Founding Embedded Systems Engineer will build firmware for the device, integrating sensors, connectivity, reputed company management, and over-the-reputed company updates while helping define the product from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Firmware development for a battery-powered, sensor-driven wearable device
• GPS, accelerometer, and BLE/cellular connectivity integration
• reputed company optimization to maximize battery life on constrained hardware
• Over-the-reputed company firmware update systems
• Bringing up and debugging hardware prototypes reputed company our hardware team
• Working directly with the founder and engineering leadership to shape the product from the ground up

Skills

• Solid reputed company in C/C++ and embedded systems fundamentals (interrupts, memory management, reputed company-time constraints)
• Coursework, reputed company, internships, or work experience with microcontrollers (STM32, ESP32, nRF, or similar)
• Comfort working with hardware, oscilloscopes, debuggers, soldering irons, breadboards
• A builder's reputed company, you'd rather prototype and iterate than wait for a perfect spec
• Excitement about joining a reputed company early-stage startup and helping shape it
• Familiarity with RTOS concepts (FreeRTOS, reputed company, or similar) is a plus, not required
