Spanish Bilingual Transitional Kindergarten Teacher (TK) 2025-2026
The impact you will have: As an instructional leader you will support our transitional kindergarten students in becoming bilingual and biliterate citizens and developing their academic, language, and social skills. What you need to be qualified?
Multiple Subject Credential with Spanish Bilingual Authorization
Completion of 24 units in ECE / child development be the end of your second year with San José Unified
To apply, you must have at least 6 units already completed OR have worked at least one year as a para educator / teacher assistant in a preschool classroom
Unit requirement can be waived if you have been a full-time preschool teacher for at least one year or part-time preschool teacher for at least two years
What you bring:
Resume and letter of introduction outlining your desire and qualifications for this position
Two (2) letters of reference from prior supervisors
Transcripts of your undergraduate degree including any early childhood education / child development units, and graduate degrees if applicable. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable for application purposes only.
Test results: please attach CSET results and evidence of meeting the Basic Skills Requirement, such as CBEST, PRAXIS, SAT or ACT results
Spanish Bilingual Authorization
