Senior Project Manager - Energy Development
Description:
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams to successfully obtain all permits for renewable energy projects
• Self-driven with a proven track record of proactive business development
• Work closely with engineering design teams, regulatory agencies, environmental experts, and land acquisition specialists
• Manage projects to meet project milestones within schedule and budget expectations
• Prepare permitting packages, technical reports, and stakeholder outreach programs
• Provide mentorship and track environmental commitments during project lifecycle
• Actively engage in identifying new team member additions for client needs
Requirements:
• 10+ years’ experience
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, or a related field or equivalent work experience
• Experience with proactive business development
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by first day of employment
• Successful candidates are required to pass the following pre-employment requirements prior to beginning employment: pre-employment drug test and background check
• Experience with leading stakeholder outreach programs for energy projects
• Experience developing projects on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lands
• Strong technical writing and research skills as well as solid written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Customarily and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment
• Self-motivated with an interest to learn and grow as a project team
• Five (5) or more years’ experience managing the permitting process for energy project teams and mentorship of team members
• Experience with managing environmental resource specialists and managing large project teams
