About the position
The Licensed Small Commercial Inside Sales Consultant is a vital member of The Hartford's Inside Sales Team, responsible for driving new business growth in the Small Commercial segment. This role focuses on selling property and casualty insurance products directly to small business owners, utilizing a customer-focused approach to deliver tailored insurance solutions. The position operates in a hybrid model, allowing for both in-office and remote work, and includes a comprehensive training program to equip new hires with the necessary skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities
• Take inbound phone calls on warm leads and pre-qualify applicants.

• Provide coverage consultation directly to small business owners.

• Sell small commercial lines products including Business Owner's Policy (BOP), Workers Compensation, Commercial Automobile, Professional Liability, and Bonds.

• Work effectively as a team member in a high-performing sales culture.

• Manage desk operations while delivering timely outcomes to customers.

• Deliver excellent service and provide tailored insurance solutions to business owners.

• Collaborate with the Inside Sales Underwriting team on complex risks to write profitable business.
Requirements
• Active Commercial Property & Casualty license is required.

• Two or more years of Property & Casualty experience is preferred.

• Call center experience is valued.
,
• Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• Strong sales acumen with the ability to negotiate and sell difficult messages.

• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
