Analyze 11 literary concepts by reading examples (English reading)

We are researchers at Midjourney, and we are collecting preference annotations over short text snippets. We are looking for experts in English literature to analyze literary concepts from examples. • *You are not allowed to use any AI tools for this task.** For this task, we ask you to figure out literary concepts by reading through triplet examples. Here, each triplet example has three text snippets: 1) one that has the yet-undefined concept (positive example), 2) one that is relatively neutral on that concept (neutral example), and 3) one that has the opposite attribute of the yet-undefined concept (negative example). Each text snippet is fewer than 150 words, and for each concept, we will provide you with 4-10 triplets. We want you to read at least 4 triplets to figure out the concept. You can read more if you need more evidence to learn about the concept. As the final “interpretation” of each concept, we want you to write 1) a short name of the concept and 2) a short paragraph description about the concept. Each concept should have a placeholder for you to type in interpretations at the top of the concept section. We do have 11 concepts, so you will read at minimum 44 triplets, which is equivalent to 132 text snippets (fewer than 19800 words or less than 1 hour 20 minutes of reading time). You will perform the task on the Figma jam board (so if you have any experience with it, it would be great!) with your PC or laptop. We attached the current version of the instructions and an example triplet so that you can better understand the task! We expect the whole task to take some hours, so we will pay you $200 if you are successful at completing the task. Please note that it is hard for us to do payment negotiations. The following is a detailed procedure: 1. If you are interested, we will offer you a contract first. 2. Once you accept the contract, we will send you an agreement document.
