From groceries and entertainment to carrying items and crafts, we offer an extensive range of products that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. **Job Responsibilities** As an Experienced Full Stack Data Scientist – Web & Cloud Application Development at blithequark, you will be responsible for leading our data science initiatives, mentoring junior colleagues, and implementing best practices across the team. Your primary focus will be on Customer Data Science initiatives, which may be short-term or long-term based on business needs. You will work closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to develop actionable, customer-centric insights that drive business decisions on omni-channel 360 performance. **Key Responsibilities:** * **Data Source Identification:** Identify the most relevant data sources for required information, considering external assets as needed. Perform preliminary data quality tests on extracted data and review deliverables of junior colleagues. * **Problem Formulation:** Analyze business problems within your area of expertise, question assumptions to help the business understand the root cause, and identify and recommend solutions to solve the business problem. * **Analytical Modeling:** Select suitable modeling strategies for complex problems with large-scale, multiple structured and unstructured data sets. Develop variables and features iteratively based on model responses in collaboration with the business. * **Model Deployment & Scaling:** Work with MLOps to push ML models to production, continuously log and track model behavior against described metrics, and identify model parameters that may need adjustments based on deployment scale. * **Code Development & Testing:** Write code to develop the specified solution and application capabilities by identifying the right programming language and leveraging business, technical, and data requirements. * **Applied Business Acumen:** Evaluate proposed business cases for projects and initiatives, influence business stakeholder decision-making, and translate business requirements into strategies, projects, and initiatives aligned with business method and goals. **Essential Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * 4 years of experience in an analytics-related field. * Deep knowledge and understanding of machine learning, statistics, and data science in general. * Strong programming skills in at least one of Python/R. * Ability to execute projects end-to-end, including junior colleagues. * Implement best practices in ML Ops, coding standards, etc. * Clearly communicate with business, product, and application partners. * Ability to translate complex algorithm evaluations into simple language. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or Azure. * Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI. * Experience with machine learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch. * Experience with data engineering tools, such as Apache Beam or Spark. **What We Offer:** * Competitive salary range of $30-40/hour. * Multiple health plan options, including vision & dental plans for you and dependents. * Financial benefits, including 401(k), stock buy plans, life insurance, and more. * Associate discounts in-store and online. * Education assistance for Associates and dependents. * Parental Leave. * Pay during military service. * Paid Time off, including vacation, sick, parental. * Short-term and long-term disability for when you cannot work due to injury, illness, or childbirth. **Why Join blithequark?** At blithequark, we are committed to providing our customers with an unparalleled shopping experience.
