Job Overview

The Customer Administrative Specialist will serve in a supporting role for our Civilian Markets team, working closely with our sales professionals to develop a portfolio of buying customers. This is a remote opportunity based in the Midwest, offering the flexibility to work from home while being part of a collaborative and fast-paced team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for making outbound sales contacts, pursuing sales leads, and maintaining customer records, among other duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Making outbound sales contact, including cold calling, to develop a portfolio of buying customers and expand our customer base
  • Accepting orders, closing sales, and maintaining accurate customer records and documentation
  • Identifying and qualifying prospective customers, recording sales prospecting activity in Salesforce, and developing a deep understanding of our products and solutions
  • Representing an assigned product line and working with territory/account, product/services, or sales processes with limited complexity
  • Informing customers of new product/service introductions and prices, and maintaining open communication with our Sales Director and Team Lead
  • Maintaining a proficient understanding of our platforms, such as Accurint, and the ability to demonstrate and discuss pricing plans with customers

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess basic functional knowledge and skills in selling and account management, as well as the ability to deepen your knowledge of our products and solutions. You should be able to develop an understanding of key business drivers and apply this knowledge to your work. Additionally, you will need to be self-motivated, able to work independently, and proficient in the use of Salesforce and other internal operational systems.

  • Basic functional knowledge and skills in selling and account management
  • Ability to develop an understanding of key business drivers and apply this knowledge to your work
  • Ability to multitask and respond effectively to changing priorities and/or situations
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in the use of Salesforce and other internal operational systems

  • Experience in sales, customer relationship management, or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information in an appropriate style and make technical information clear
