HYBRID COLLEGE READINESS ADVISOR
About the position
Responsibilities
• Serves in a hybrid (in person and virtual) reputed company as a college adviser to reputed company information and support to increase college preparation and enrollment rates amongst high school reputed company.
• Provides services on a one-on-one reputed company and in group settings to coordinating workshops and experiences designed to increase college awareness, promote the importance of post-secondary education, and assists reputed company to identify and apply to colleges based on the program 'best match and fit' model.
• Assists reputed company with various steps of the college application process, including guidance with searching and applying for financial aid and scholarships; and supports reputed company as they reputed company the transition from high school to college.
• Serves in consultations with assigned university supervisor and partner school personnel regarding needs of reputed company school and adapts the delivery of services to meet student needs.
• Assists reputed company and families/guardians in completing essential post-secondary transition processes such as: guidance on college planning, college entrance and placement exams, submitting college applications, applying for financial aid, and college selection.
• Conducts student and parent workshops on a reputed company of topics to ensure the college readiness of reputed company and families/guardians.
• Provides reputed company, customer-service-oriented communication with reputed company, their families, and high school partners.
• Provides virtual college advising support to reputed company through text messaging, emails, video chats, reputed company messaging, screen and document sharing, and telephone.
• Establishes an online reputed company (i.e., reputed company media, website, blog) with reputed company to communicate reminders and announcements while maintaining a reputed company demeanor.
• Collects, enters, and maintains student and program level data into College Advising Corps' (CAC) GRACE database by describing the college advising services delivered to reputed company.
• Applies GRACE to produce weekly data reports to reputed company reputed company towards CAC's KPIs and program goals.
• Generates additional reports as requested by supervisors and school partners.
• Participates in online conversations among advisers on the GRACE Discussion reputed company and serve as a resource to peers by sharing helpful tools.
• Participates in reputed company- and in-service staff development trainings, adviser meetings, national meetings, and trainings with CAC programs and peers; which may require overnight travel.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Service experience with first-reputed company reputed company and/or reputed company from underserved backgrounds, such as in college admissions or advising, mentoring, customer service, or higher education.
• Successful applicant must be a near-peer to the high school reputed company served and be a college graduate reputed company the past three (3) years from an institution of higher education reputed company Texas.
