Position Overview: We are currently seeking a passionate and innovative part-time middle school science teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is someone who loves the art of teaching and is excited to bring creativity and enthusiasm to our unique learning environment. This role is perfect for educators who thrive outside the traditional classroom setting and are eager to engage students with the wonders of science through real-world applications. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement engaging science curricula that incorporate hands-on learning and real-world applications. • Foster a nurturing and stimulating learning online environment that encourages student curiosity and learning. • Assess and record student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs. • Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience at Colossal Academy Online. Schedule: • Mondays and Wednesdays 9:00-11:35 EST • 1 hr office hour/week Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Math, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred). • Proven experience in teaching science at a relevant educational level. • Strong passion for teaching and a commitment to student-centered, experiential learning. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Familiar with online learning management systems. • Ability to innovate and think creatively about education.
