Research Intern - GI Med Oncology - Research
Komen Graduate Training Program UT MDACC is seeking a Research Intern to assist in ongoing research projects within the GI Medical Oncology department. The role provides exposure to the research process, including study design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation, while ensuring compliance with institutional and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Complete required Human Research Subjects training and other compliance courses
- Participate in departmental educational activities, including Grand Rounds, study meetings, and research seminars
- Assist with data collection, literature reviews, and computational analysis for research projects
- Shadow and collaborate with the faculty mentor to understand clinical research workflows
- Observe and learn electronic health record navigation for research purposes (chart review, documentation)
- Contribute to the preparation of research materials, reports, and presentations
Skills
- Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in biology, science, engineering field or bioinformatics
- Complete required Human Research Subjects training and other compliance courses
