As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced data solutions that drive business growth and innovation. You will work closely with our Information Item Chiefs, Information Modelers, and Information Architects to design, implement, and deliver successful data solutions that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** * Contribute to the design and development of our data products and data warehouses, focusing on data analysis and science * Design and develop flexible data warehousing solutions, building ETL pipelines in big data environments (cloud, on-prem, hybrid) * Our tech stack includes Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, Flink, and Windstream, and languages include Python, Scala * Help engineer data solutions/structures and define data models for the core data warehouse and data shops * Collaborate with Data Product Managers, Data Modelers, and Data Architects to design, implement, and deliver successful data solutions * Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to ensure data quality and data governance * Ensure high operational productivity and quality of your solutions to meet SLAs and support our clients (Data Science, Data Analysis teams) * Be an active participant and advocate of agile/scrum practice to ensure safety and cycle improvements for your team **Essential Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field * Solid SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract data and build performant datasets * Experience with distributed systems like Flink, Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Voila, PySpark) to query and process data * Strong programming skills in Python, Java/Scala * Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) * Strong involvement in data integration toolsets (i.e Windstream) and writing and maintaining data pipelines * Solid knowledge of data modeling strategies and data warehousing standard practices and procedures * Familiarity with Scrum and Agile approaches **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience with cloud technologies like AWS (S3, EMR, EC2) * Strong problem-solving skills with excellent analytical and relational abilities * Experience with data visualization tools and technologies **What We Offer:** * Competitive salary of $24/hour * Opportunities for career growth and professional development * Collaborative and dynamic work environment * Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off * Access to cutting-edge technologies and tools * Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance **How to Apply:** If you're a motivated and experienced data professional looking for a new challenge, please submit your application through our website.
