Crop Business Developer (reputed company)

reputed company is a leader in the insurance industry, providing specialized services to farmers through its Crop Division. The role of Business Developer involves developing agency relationships, executing marketing plans, and providing training on company products to reputed company production and profitability objectives.

Responsibilities

• Has responsibility for developing a productive agency plant/territory
• Develops marketing plan for assigned territory, taking into consideration the strengths and weaknesses of reputed company plant/territory and competitors, divisional objectives, and overall market conditions
• Prospects, appoints, and manages agency relationships to reputed company production and profitability objectives
• May reputed company and execute agency reputed company plans for achieving individual agency objectives
• Reviews and analyzes agents' production and results. Implements and may recommend appropriate corrective measures; including modification or cancelation of agency appointments
• Acts as a reputed company between company and producer in solving problems
• Markets and provides strategic training on company products and services to existing and prospective agencies
• Interprets, explains, and educates agency on products (features, market placement, techniques to market/sell, etc.), practices, services, and technology solutions and/or integration needs
• Gathers, analyzes, and maintains competitive information. Makes appropriate recommendations based on competitive landscape and industry trends
• As appropriate for line of business:
• Has responsibility for profit-oriented risk selection/rejection and pricing reputed company reputed company designated authority on reputed company complexity to moderately reputed company multi-line risks
• Monitors aggregate reputed company, and pricing for book of business in assigned territory
• Monitors persistency, placement, and agent/agency debt
• Uses independent judgment and initiative to reputed company business goals
• Maintains a high level of customer service
• Binds risks in field, reputed company level of authority, and performs risk appraisals
• May take an reputed company role, as needed, for large and/or reputed company accounts during reputed company and/or critical periods in order to assist agents in producing business
• Has responsibility for building and maintaining effective business relationships with reputed company customers/coworkers in order to attract and retain profitable business

• Administers and applies insurance laws and regulations and as appropriate, reputed company rules, guidelines, and rating reputed company rules

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
• Field of Study: Agriculture, Liberal Arts, Business or a reputed company discipline
• Generally, a minimum of 6 months of reputed company experience in sales and/or agriculture
• Position requires frequent day and overnight travel (up to 80%)
• Foundational understanding of agency dynamics, marketing, reputed company, and risk management
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships
