Job Overview
Our client, one of the fastest-growing commercial solar engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) companies in the nation, is looking to bring on a Project Manager to support their growing volume of commercial solar projects across the nation. This role is a full-time position with our client.
Job Responsibilities
• Completing project planning & mobilization tasks such as: translating contract documents into a detailed project execution plans, finalizing project schedules, milestone dates, and deliverables, and working with the engineering team to ensure deliverables are attained in a timely manner.
• Owning the project budget and tracking costs against forecasts while managing change orders
• Working with internal construction stakeholders to maintain and update construction
• schedules, coordinate procurement, delivery, and logistics of equipment, and ensure construction team have adequate labor resources
• Monitoring daily and weekly progress against scope and schedule and ensuring compliance with design specifications, codes, utility requirements, and QA/QC procedures.
• Tracking all permits, inspections, and regulatory filings, including any prevailing wage/apprenticeship documentation (where required).
• Serving as the primary point of contact for customers during construction and providing clear and consistent project updates to stakeholders
• Overseeing punch list completion, commissioning, and utility interconnection.
Successful Candidates Must Have:
• Previous experience managing C&I solar projects. Extensive knowledge of commercial solar rooftop projects would be ideal.
• A strong knowledge of C&I solar EPC workflows
• A proficiency in scheduling tools.
• Experience with budgeting and cost-tracking on C&I solar projects
• Leadership and communication skills
• A problem-solving mindset with ability to handle high-pressure environments.
• An extensive understanding of utility interconnection, commissioning, and AHJ inspections processes.
• Experience managing personnel, including goal-setting and accountability
• Experience reviewing, refining, and improving standard operating procedures
• Experience ensuring compliance with design specifications, codes, utility requirements, and QA/QC procedures
