Data Analyst

Fire Rover, LLC is a leader in autonomous fire detection and suppression technology. They are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to collect, process, and analyze data, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify trends and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from relational databases
• Perform data analysis, cleanup, validation, and verification to ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business decision-making
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate business needs into analytical solutions
• Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data and present actionable insights
• Document data processes, definitions, and methodologies to maintain data governance standards
• Support ad-hoc data requests and analyses as needed

Skills

• Proficiency in SQL with hands-on experience writing complex queries for data extraction and analysis
• Demonstrated experience working with relational databases, specifically Microsoft SQL Server
• Proven experience in data analysis, data cleanup, data validation, and data verification processes
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, complex formulas, and data manipulation functions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data findings to non-technical audiences
• Proficiency with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI, MicroStrategy, Tableau, or similar platforms
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts
• Knowledge of ETL processes and tools such as SSIS
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or R for data analysis
• Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles
