[Remote] Operations Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Csquare is a company focused on data center operations, and they are seeking an Operations Engineer to support the day-to-day running and maintenance of critical infrastructure. The role involves working with construction engineering on large scale capital projects and providing technical guidance to ensure operational efficiency. Responsibilities • Own and manage all site level electrical and mechanical issues • Identify and resolve issues with the cross-functional teams • Maintain all Mission Critical Data Center related electrical and mechanical system design requirements • Review and approve: • Method of Procedure (MOP) documents • Emergency Response Guides (ERGs) • Fault Isolation Guides (FIGs) • Cold Start Procedures • Change requests • Provide technical guidance to vendor teams in resolution of issues to support program level efforts • Provide technical support to operational personnel • Rotating on-call schedule to handle emergency situations • Diagnose and rectify PUE anomalies • Help site personnel develop yearly budgets Skills • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mission critical facility building design, construction, commissioning or operations • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent job experience • Professional Engineer registration required • The ability to remotely work and identify issues with a diverse team • General understanding of data center electrical topologies (Distributed Redundant, Block Redundant, 2N, etc.), equipment (MV switchgear and transformers, UPS, Generators, STS, etc) and operations (Redundancy/Resilience, SLAs, MOPs, etc.) • General understanding of data center mechanical topologies (RTU, split-unit, chillers, cooling towers, etc.) and operations • The ability to exchange, engage, convey and express knowledge and ideas in a context that can be easily understood by non-technical team members • The ability to assess situations in order to reach a resolution • The ability to multi-task and to prioritize. Shall be well-organized and use their time wisely • Strong problem solving skills in diverse situations • Shall exhibit teamwork in all internal/external activities and when dealing with other team members • 7 years of experience in mission critical facility building design, construction, commissioning or operations Company Overview • Headquartered in Dallas, Csquare provides a comprehensive suite of colocation and data center services that prioritize connectivity, security, and redundancy.
