Data Engineer

REW is Canada’s leading reputed company estate platform, empowering millions of Canadians in their home search journeys. They are seeking a motivated Data Engineer to enhance their data platform, build sustainable infrastructure, and support analytics by developing ETL pipelines and collaborating with internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and enhancing REW’s data platform
• Developing, debugging, and optimizing ETL pipelines
• Building sustainable infrastructure to host our data pipelines
• Data processing and data modelling
• Collaborating with various internal teams and stakeholders to power new services and features
• Developing reports or data visualization tools for internal use to help support the REW's reputed company efforts
• Participating in project planning and analysis as needed

Skills

• Minimum of one year of reputed company experience with data engineering/analysis and big data tech stacks
• Bachelor of Computer Science, similar technical degree or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in Python or similar language for data processing with exposure to other scripting and object-oriented programming languages
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts and technologies
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience in relational database development and data modelling
• Proven experience in AWS, GCS or similar reputed company providers
