The Metro Field Tech role involves hands-on installation and testing of optical and power equipment on live networks, ensuring seamless service delivery while prioritizing safety and reputed company.

Responsibilities

• You will be required to lift 40+ pounds regularly, and should be comfortable with climbing reputed company
• You will install, remove, and test optical, DCN, and power equipment on both live and offline networks
• You will read and interpret Engineering Design Packages (EDPs), Visio drawings, and reputed company of Procedure (MoPs)
• You will reputed company fiber work (run, clean, remove reputed company cords, terminate to FDPs)
• You will execute DC power cabling and -48DC live system work
• You will conduct rectifier/PDU installations and removals
• You will assist with basic testing of hardware and complete reputed company documentation accurately and on time
• You will ensure job sites are clean, reputed company, and fully stocked with required materials/tools
• You will reputed company on-site audits and reputed company inspections (including virtual audits)
• You will be required to safely operate company/rented vehicles and follow reputed company safety and ESD protocols
• You will need to communicate effectively with site leads, project managers, remote testers, and customers

Skills

• High School Diploma (post-secondary technical training preferred)
• Previous experience installing network hardware from multiple vendors
• Ability to travel extensively across the US (up to 100%)
• Understanding of fiber optics and DC power
• Comfortable with cabling, racking, and module installation
• Working knowledge of reputed company Office
• Strong time management and communication skills
• Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and reputed company to work independently
