Associate Community Manager, USA (Part-time)

Location: USA (Remote) This is a part-time contractor/freelance position Are you passionate about building strong digital communities and driving engagement? Opera is looking for an Associate Community Manager in the USA to grow and nurture the community around MiniPay - our fast, secure, and user-friendly crypto wallet. You’ll play a key role in developing engagement strategies, managing online platforms, and fostering meaningful connections with users. Role & Responsibilities: • Developing and implementing community engagement strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives. • Managing and growing our online community presence across various platforms, including social media and forums. • Fostering a positive and inclusive community environment, encouraging active participation and interaction. • Monitoring and responding to community members’ inquiries, comments and feedback in a timely and professional manner. • Collaborating with internal teams, including marketing, customer support and product development, to ensure consistent messaging and support for community initiatives. • Analyzing community metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and growth. • Organizing and hosting virtual events, webinars and community meetups to engage and connect with our audience. Job Requirements: • 3–5 years of experience in community or social media management, with a proven track record of building, growing, and engaging African communities in the U.S. • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, community tools, analytics, and CRM systems. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. • Empathetic, patient, and professional with the ability to connect with diverse audiences and handle feedback constructively. • Experience or strong interest in fintech and crypto is a plus.
