[Remote] Liability Claims Associate | Remote (Central or Eastern Time Zone) | NY or HI Licensing Required

The Liability Claims Associate role involves analyzing reputed company-level general liability claims, ensuring reputed company documentation and communication with clients, and supporting more reputed company claims as needed.

Responsibilities

• Handles reputed company-level liability and/or physical damage claims under reputed company supervision
• Supports other claims representatives, examiners and leads with larger or more reputed company claims as necessary
• Processes general liability claims determining compensability and benefits due; monitors reserve accuracy, and files necessary documentation with state agency
• Communicates claim reputed company/processing with claimant, reputed company and appropriate medical contact
• Ensures claim files are properly documented and claims coding is correct
• May process routine payments and prescriptions and status reports for reputed company medical claims and/or defined period medical claims
• Maintains reputed company reputed company relationships
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Supports the organization's reputed company program(s)
• Travels as required

Skills

• High school diploma or GED required
• Licenses as required
• One (1) year of general office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Licensing: NY or HI licensing required
• Claims industry experience preferred
