As a Customer Service Representative with arenaflex, you'll be working for a Fortune 200 company with a rich history dating back over 100 years. We serve five million customers in 11 states, and our reach continues to grow. This scale means that when you join our team, you're joining an organization with real stability and long-term vision. We don't just offer jobs; we offer careers with pathways for advancement, professional development, and the chance to make a meaningful difference in people's lives every single day.

One of our team members shared their experience: "I have been working full-time for more than five years now, and it has been an amazing journey. The job is incredible, the people are wonderful, and the culture is truly special. This is a company that genuinely cares about its employees, and that commitment shows in everything they do." This sentiment captures exactly what makes arenaflex different—we don't just employ people; we invest in their growth, well-being, and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll play a vital role in maintaining our reputation for excellent customer service. Your primary responsibility is to handle inbound calls from customers who reach out with questions, concerns, and requests related to their utility service. This is an inbound-only call center position, meaning you won't be making cold calls or conducting sales—your focus will be entirely on helping existing customers and providing them with the support they need.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to Customer Inquiries: Handle incoming calls from customers asking about their service, billing questions, account information, and general inquiries about their utility coverage.
  • Issue Resolution: Quickly analyze customer concerns and help resolve issues accurately and efficiently, ensuring each customer leaves the interaction satisfied.
  • Power Outage Support: Assist customers during power outages, providing updates, outage reporting, and reassurance during what can be stressful situations.
  • Account Management: Help customers with account updates, payment arrangements, service starts and stops, and other account-related tasks.
  • Documentation: Accurately document all customer interactions in our system to ensure seamless continuity of service.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors to share knowledge, best practices, and support each other in delivering exceptional service.
  • Compliance: Follow all company policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to ensure accurate and lawful service delivery.

One of the things that makes this role special is the balance between structured work and a relaxed atmosphere. While we take our customer service responsibilities seriously, we also believe in creating an enjoyable workplace. Our dress code is casual—jeans are perfectly acceptable—and we regularly celebrate our team's hard work with contests, raffles, and team parties. We want this to be a place where you want to build a long-term career, not just a temporary job.

Required Skills and Knowledge

We're looking for candidates who have the skills and mindset to excel in a fast-paced customer service environment. While we provide comprehensive training to help you succeed, there are certain qualities and experiences that will help you thrive in this role.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Customer Service Experience: You must have more than two years of experience working in complex customer service roles. This experience should demonstrate your ability to handle challenging situations, manage customer expectations, and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
  • Analytical Skills: You should be able to quickly analyze customer inquiries, identify the root cause of issues, and provide appropriate solutions. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think on your feet.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication is essential. You need to be able to listen actively, speak clearly, and convey information in a way that customers can easily understand.
  • Computer Literacy: Comfortable navigating multiple software applications and systems. You'll be using our customer relationship management (CRM) tools, as well as various utility-specific programs.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage your time effectively, handle multiple calls throughout your shift, and meet productivity goals without sacrificing quality.
  • Location Requirement: Candidates must be located within 60 miles of Tulsa, OK. While this is a remote position, we require proximity to our support center for occasional in-person training or meetings.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience in utility or energy industry customer service
  • Background in handling billing inquiries and account management
  • Previous experience in a call center environment
  • Familiarity with outage management and customer communication
  • Bilingual capabilities (a plus, but not required)

Education and Experience Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED: You must be a high school graduate or have obtained your General Education Development (GED) certificate.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in complex customer service is required. This experience should demonstrate your ability to handle diverse customer needs, resolve issues effectively, and maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Stable Work History: We value reliability and commitment. A demonstrated stable work history shows us that you're dedicated and trustworthy.
  • Authorization: You must be authorized to work in the United States. This is a requirement for all positions at arenaflex.

We believe in hiring for potential as well as experience. If you have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a genuine desire to help others, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every single qualification listed. We provide comprehensive training to help you develop the specific technical skills you need to succeed.

Compensation and Benefits

At arenaflex, we believe that your hard work deserves to be rewarded. We offer a competitive compensation package that reflects your skills, experience, and contributions to our team.

  • Starting Pay Rate: $16.25 per hour
  • Health Insurance: Comprehensive health insurance coverage to keep you and your family healthy.
  • Life Insurance: Life insurance coverage for your peace of mind and financial security.
  • Dental Coverage: Dental reimbursement programs to help you maintain excellent oral health.
  • Overtime Opportunities: We offer overtime opportunities, especially during peak periods such as severe weather events or peak billing cycles. This allows you to increase your earnings while contributing to our mission of serving our customers.

  • Equipment Provision: We provide all necessary equipment, including a computer, headset, and software access.

Work Environment and Culture

Our work-from-home model offers the flexibility to work in a comfortable, personalized environment while still being connected to a supportive team. You'll have the opportunity to work independently while having access to the resources and support you need to succeed.

Despite being remote, we maintain a strong sense of community through regular team meetings, virtual events, and ongoing communication with supervisors and colleagues. You'll never feel isolated—we're all in this together, and we're committed to making sure every team member feels valued and connected.

Our culture is built on mutual respect, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence.
