You'll work closely with our team to verify freight documentation, secure cargo, and maintain a safe and efficient working environment. If you're looking for a challenging and rewarding role in a dynamic industry, we encourage you to apply! **Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities** * Perform freight handling using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks * Verify documentation matches freight description, using current electronic or manual systems * Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies, such as pallets, straps, and rope * Recoup or repair damaged freight when necessary * Verify and complete required documentation and reports * Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed * Perform hostling duties if required * Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures * Perform other duties as required **Key Responsibilities:** * Freight handling and logistics * Documentation verification and completion * Freight security and cargo management * Customer service and support * Hostling duties (if required) * Compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies **Qualifications and Requirements** * High school diploma or equivalent, preferred * Must be at least 18 years of age * Prior experience in warehousing, freight handling, and/or forklift operations preferred * If hostler/yard mule duties required, experience preferred * Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator * Basic written and verbal communication skills * Ability to lift/carry hand freight of varying weights several times a week, to lift dock plates weighing approximately 100 pounds, and to open trailer doors requiring approximately 75 pounds of lift force, up to several times per day or more * Ability to bend, twist, squat, pushing/pulling freight throughout shift * Ability to work independently and/or as a team member * Previous dock/warehouse experience preferred **Working Conditions** * Dock environment; exposure to varied weather conditions, exhaust, fumes, dust, and noise * Hours may vary due to operational need * Frequent contact with service center personnel; fast-paced, deadline-oriented **Benefits and Perks** * Competitive salary and benefits package * Opportunities for career growth and professional development * Collaborative and dynamic work environment * Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance * Comprehensive training and onboarding program * Access to cutting-edge technology and equipment **How to Apply** If you're a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for logistics and customer service, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity!
