Our clients include property and casualty insurance carriers, law firms, third-party claim administrators, and government agencies that rely on our independent services to confirm the veracity of claims. **Job Summary** We're seeking an experienced Data Entry Associate to join our team on a full-time remote basis. As a Data Entry Associate, you'll be responsible for gathering, preparing, and entering alphabetic and numeric data from various source documents into our computer system for storage, processing, and data management purposes. If you have experience with medical bills/records, ICD and CPT codes, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. **Responsibilities** As a Data Entry Associate at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for the following essential duties and responsibilities: * Gathering, organizing, and preparing source documents for data entry into our system database * Reviewing data for discrepancies, missing pages, or information and resolving discrepancies using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution * Entering both alphabetic and numeric data from source documents into our system database * Reviewing data entered against the original source documents for accuracy and correcting any data entry errors or duplications * Following data program security practices and procedures at all times * Routinely securing information by completing database backup daily * Performing other varied clerical duties such as sorting, filing, emailing, and proofreading as required * Maintaining confidentiality of all personal and financial information at all times and in accordance with HIPAA regulations **Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent required * Ability to achieve 8,000 or higher on a 10-key test (preferably above 10,000) * A minimum of 6 months related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience * Experience in a medical office preferred * Complete knowledge of general computer, fax, copier, scanner, and telephone * Knowledgeable of multiple software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet * Full understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance * Qualified typist with a minimum of 40 W.P.M. **Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Excellent organizational and time management skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications * Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
