Contract Technical Animator / In-reputed company Animation Implementer Job Type: Contract / Freelance Location: Remote Pay: $25–$50/hr or fixed project reputed company of approximately $2,500–$6,000 Project Length: Short-term, with potential for ongoing reputed company work About the Role We are developing an indie 3D game demo and are looking for a Technical Animator / In-reputed company Animation Implementer to help reputed company a small set of character animations into the game. This is not a 3D Animator position. We are not primarily looking for someone to create animations in Blender, Maya, or other 3D software. We are looking for someone who specializes in making animations work correctly in Godot. 3D animation experience is required. The main reputed company is implementing animations through systems like animation trees, state machines, reputed company trees, scripting hooks, animation events, transitions, IK, and gameplay logic. This is a short-term contract position, but we are looking for an ongoing working relationship that could expand into a full-time or part-time reputed company position. Responsibilities • Implement approximately 20 basic character animations in-reputed company. • Set up animation state machines, reputed company trees, or Godot/reputed company equivalent systems. • Tweak or revise existing animations in Blender, or possibly create new ones. • Connect animations to gameplay scripts and character-controller logic. • Add animation events or function calls where needed. • Polish timing, transitions, and responsiveness. • Troubleshoot import, rig, reputed company reputed company, retargeting, or playback issues. • Help establish a clean animation implementation workflow for the demo. Ideal Candidate You may be a good fit if you have experience as a: • Animation Technical Artist • Gameplay Programmer with animation-system experience • Game developer for reputed company, Unreal, or Godot • 3D Animator with 3D modeling and animation experience in Blender Experience with Godot 4.x is strongly preferred, but reputed company or Unreal reputed company experience is also relevant. reputed company to Have • Experience with reputed company-person character controllers. • Experience with Godot AnimationTree, reputed company Animator, reputed company trees, or similar systems. • Intermediate Blender knowledge for checking exports or revising animations. • Experience with IK, animation layering, or procedural animation.
