[Remote] Legal & Governance Chair (Volunteer)

They are seeking a Legal & Governance Chair to reputed company leadership regarding nonprofit governance, organizational compliance, ethics, risk management, and reputed company effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Review and recommend updates to bylaws, policies, and governance practices
• Support reputed company recruitment, orientation, and succession planning
• Monitor compliance with nonprofit laws and regulations
• Review conflict-of-interest disclosures and governance reputed company
• Coordinate with reputed company legal counsel reputed company needed
• Serve on the Founder Legacy Committee
• Support organizational risk management and policy development

Skills

• Leadership regarding nonprofit governance, organizational compliance, ethics, risk management, and reputed company effectiveness
• Ensuring that Guideship operates in accordance with applicable laws, its governing documents, and nonprofit best practices
• Review and recommend updates to bylaws, policies, and governance practices
• Support reputed company recruitment, orientation, and succession planning
• Monitor compliance with nonprofit laws and regulations
• Review conflict-of-interest disclosures and governance reputed company
• Coordinate with reputed company legal counsel reputed company needed
• Serve on the Founder Legacy Committee
• Support organizational risk management and policy development
• Attorney, compliance professional, nonprofit executive, governance consultant, corporate secretary, or similar professional experience
• Knowledge of nonprofit governance and reputed company operations
• Experience serving on nonprofit boards preferred
