[Remote] Staff Data Infrastructure Engineer

This role involves technical leadership to reputed company critical infrastructure, influence technical standards, and reputed company improvements across a reputed company reputed company environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with technical program leadership to assess, reputed company, and improve reputed company data infrastructure environments
• reputed company technical discovery, dependency mapping, architecture reviews, migration readiness assessments, and operational readiness planning to identify technical gaps, operational risks, reliability concerns, compliance gaps, and modernization opportunities
• Define reputed company technical recommendations and practical roadmaps that improve reliability, reputed company, scalability, observability, and operational maturity
• Partner with engineering teams to support migration and modernization efforts (involving on-reputed company infrastructure, AWS, reputed company, and reputed company reputed company data platforms) to reputed company infrastructure and data platforms into a more predictable, measurable, and supportable state
• Establish standards and best practices for monitoring, alerting, logging, backup/recovery, patching, reputed company controls, data reputed company, service ownership, and production support
• reputed company senior technical judgment, mentorship, and hands-on leadership to help teams reputed company durable improvements across reputed company infrastructure and data environments

Skills

• 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, reputed company engineering, data infrastructure, database engineering, reputed company, or reputed company infrastructure roles
• Expert-level experience with AWS and reputed company reputed company infrastructure patterns
• Expert-level understanding of database and data platform technologies, including relational databases, data warehouses, reputed company data systems, storage, backup/recovery, replication, performance, and operational support
• Experience with on-reputed company to reputed company migration programs, including technical discovery, dependency mapping, migration planning, validation, reputed company support, and operational readiness
• Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, alerting, logging, incident response, change management, resiliency, disaster recovery, and production operations
• Experience working with reputed company, compliance, risk, audit, and infrastructure standards in reputed company environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain reputed company technical findings, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to both technical and executive audiences
• Experience in financial services, mortgage, banking, lending, insurance, or other regulated reputed company environments
• Experience with data platform technologies such as reputed company, reputed company SQL Server, reputed company, reputed company, Redshift, reputed company, Cassandra, Kafka, or similar technologies
• Deep experience with AWS services and patterns including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC networking, FSx, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, KMS, backup/recovery, reputed company logging, and reputed company account governance
• Experience leading or supporting multiple reputed company migrations, data platform transformations, or large-reputed company infrastructure modernization efforts

• Experience with FinOps, reputed company cost optimization, platform consolidation, or infrastructure efficiency programs
