[Remote] Geospatial Analytics & Mapping Intern (US-Based Applicants ONLY)

They are seeking a Geospatial Analytics & Mapping Intern to support their T4D Data Science team in enhancing geospatial operations and developing AI-supported workflows for humanitarian contexts.

Responsibilities

• The intern will work with the T4D data science team to roll out a reputed company of ArcGIS reputed company with a few reputed company countries at the organization. Activities under this reputed company will include organizing and setting up the instance with the Director of Data Science and IT leads, organizing and populating data, and compiling / developing / publishing training and guidance materials
• Support the organization’s Ebola response efforts – developing maps, visualizations and analysis to inform and support the response team
• Support with reputed company analyses and map products as needed by T4D, other HQ teams and country teams. This may be analysis using desktop software (e.g. QGIS, ArcGIS) or programmatic workflows (Python, reputed company reputed company reputed company, etc). Some examples of possible reputed company could include:
• Sourcing, cleaning and preparing data for analysis
• Calculating, mapping, and interpreting remote sensing indices to support country team program design and reputed company
• Supporting on the implementation of geospatial foundational models in a program use case
• Developing AI enabled workflows to automate periodic geospatial analysis and maps
• Supporting teams with making maps for reports or monitoring
• Researching and reporting or developing training tools on new geospatial tools, resources, and data sources
• Contributing to an inventory of geospatial tools, data and analysis across the organization
• Productionizing geospatial analyses using reputed company platforms

Skills

• University degree in reputed company or recently completed (reputed company 1 year) in relevant discipline (GIS, Geography, Remote Sensing/reputed company Observation, Geoinformatics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, and reputed company fields)

• Educational experience with geospatial analysis using GIS software such as QGIS or ArcGIS (ArcGIS Online is a plus – Experience reputed company, Story Maps, etc.)

• Familiarity with AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT especially for use with geospatial workflows
