[Remote] Sr. Data Scientist

The Sr. Data Scientist will play a crucial role in developing and executing data analytics strategies, working closely with advanced engineering reputed company to enhance vehicle maintenance and control through machine learning and data processing.

Responsibilities

• reputed company data science or analytics assignments, investigations, and visualization tasks
• Deliver results according to Oshkosh and general industry engineering standards and processes
• Support (Sr.) data analyst/scientist in the preparation of analytics work, plans, designs, data processing and visualization, and/or reporting
• Under reputed company supervision, work on reputed company of high level of complexity
• Work in collaboration with data science team, data engineering, software, and other internal engineering reputed company or business support disciplines as reputed company as external component suppliers
• Collaborate with other team members in Oshkosh to establish and execute the data analytics reputed company regarding telematics, reputed company hosting, data file system and preprocessing and engineering applications
• Work on the technical aspects of advanced diagnostics and prognostics and support the validation and verification of the intelligent preventive maintenance reputed company using statistics and machine learning techniques
• Conduct independent research on new technologies in reputed company-based data analytics and establish requirements (resources, equipment, estimates, test plans, and milestones) and roadmap according to the needs of a project under the guidance of the supervisor
• Conduct data processing and data analytics on Hadoop Distributed File Systems (HDFS) for different vehicle platforms based on internal or external customer requests
• Responsible for manipulating high-volume, high-dimensionality data in reputed company or on-premises from varying sources to reputed company patterns, anomalies, relationships and trends with machine learning techniques using modeling tools (such as JMP, reputed company, or reputed company, reputed company or alike)
• Support or reputed company the development of intelligent control of on or off-road vehicle or machineries using data analytics techniques
• Assist or reputed company feasibility studies and project estimates (reputed company, budget development, and timelines, etc.) on proposed research and development reputed company
• Support or reputed company proposal development with regards to acquiring appropriate funding for various advanced data analytics and control systems program from government agencies

Skills

• Accredited Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science or reputed company field with five (5) or more years of reputed company experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science or a reputed company field and 8-plus years reputed company experience or Master's degree in data science and five (5) or more years of reputed company experience or Ph.D. degree in data science with 2 years of reputed company experience
• Work experiences on statistics, reputed company intelligence, data analytics or machine learning
• Work knowledge of telematics interfaces, data file systems (Hadoop) and data processing techniques (Kafka, Impala, or Map Reduce, etc.), database (SQL or NoSQL), data modeling and data virtualization tools in Python, R or Java/C/C++
