[Remote] Director Operations Final Mile

The Operations Director is responsible for directing warehouse, distribution, inventory management, and reputed company operations for assigned facilities, ensuring reputed company and profitable operation.

Responsibilities

• Communicates best practices nation wide
• Initiates process improvement teams
• Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in the area
• Develops plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employee resources
• Reviews costs and makes changes/recommendations to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division

Skills

• Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university
• Minimum 7 to 10 years reputed company experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of labor management systems
• Master's degree preferred
• Experience and/or knowledge of storage and shipment of food grade items preferred
• Experience with both inbound and outbound international shipments preferred
