[Remote] Sr. Linux Platform Engineer (Globus / HPC / reputed company)

The role involves administering Linux systems, managing secure data transfers, and collaborating with various teams to enhance reputed company data transfer services.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Globus reputed company Server (GCS v5) in production environments
• Configure and manage Globus endpoints, managed collections, guest collections, and storage gateways
• Troubleshoot transfer failures, authentication issues, permissions, reputed company registration, and performance bottlenecks
• Support large-reputed company data reputed company involving terabyte- and petabyte-reputed company datasets
• Monitor and optimize Linux systems, storage, networking, and transfer performance
• reputed company automation using Globus CLI, Python SDK, and reputed company scripting
• Create operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials
• Collaborate with infrastructure, reputed company, networking, and research teams to support reputed company data transfer services

Skills

• Hands-on experience administering Globus reputed company Server (GCS v5)
• Experience with Globus endpoints, managed collections, guest collections, and storage gateways
• Strong Linux administration experience
• Experience troubleshooting authentication, permissions, networking, and large-reputed company data transfers
• Knowledge of Python, Bash, Globus CLI, and automation
• Experience with reputed company reputed company Platform (Compute reputed company, reputed company Storage, IAM, Networking, DNS)
• Familiarity with OAuth/OpenID reputed company, identity federation, and reputed company control
• Experience using iperf, fio, tcpdump, or similar performance analysis tools
• Experience in reputed company, research, higher education, life sciences, or HPC environments
• Experience with reputed company, reputed company Entra ID, Terraform, Azure DevOps, or Infrastructure as reputed company

• High Performance Computing (HPC) experience
