[Remote] Sr. NOC Technician - IP Networking

The Sr. NOC Technician will monitor and troubleshoot reputed company network issues, serve as a technical leader, and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance the NOC's IP expertise.

Responsibilities

• Constant monitoring of Network Management systems for alarms and performance metrics on the reputed company Service Provider Network. Watching for potential reputed company threats on the network and taking appropriate actions
• Report, document, and reputed company reputed company alarm events while maintaining a high level of accuracy and urgency
• Logging and managing trouble tickets, assigning priorities, and updating ticket status with reputed company details
• Identifying and responding to network alerts, troubleshooting issues, and taking corrective actions to minimize downtime. Communicate Network Event alerts and updates to internal reputed company teams and executives
• Analyzing network logs and reputed company behavior to diagnose the reputed company cause of network problems and implement solutions
• Elevating and Escalating issues to higher-level support teams and management reputed company necessary
• Coordinate and reputed company repair activities on fiber cuts and other network impacting events
• reputed company involvement with engineering reputed company and vendors to reputed company and implement restoration efforts
• Communicates daily with many departments reputed company reputed company, other telecommunication providers and vendors to discuss and coordinate reputed company network troubles/outages and reputed company

• Investigate packet loss, packet storms, duplicate VLANs, duplicate IP addressing, routing anomalies, and reputed company 2/reputed company 3 network issues
• Work directly with equipment vendors including reputed company, reputed company, and reputed company to diagnose and reputed company advanced technical issues
• Support engineering-level troubleshooting efforts while serving as the highest technical escalation reputed company reputed company the NOC

Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 4 - 7 years of experience pertaining to the telecommunications industry
• Strong preference for candidates with service provider networking experience supporting ISP, reputed company, or telecommunications environments
• Job specific Experience/training in either the Data or Transport Vertical as listed in the Technology reputed company reputed company
• Good computer and written/verbal communications skills

• Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred but not required
• Vendor certifications preferred but not required
• CCNA/ JNCIA/MEF/reputed company Certifications a plus
• Ethernet and Mobile Backhaul Experience is a plus
• Experience with PON/GPON based services is Desired
• BTI, reputed company, reputed company, Ekinops Transport experience is Desired
