[Remote] Senior Platform Engineer

The Senior Platform Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers the managed TimescaleDB reputed company services, focusing on reputed company-based clusters and automating workflows.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stability of control plane consisting of a distributed microservice architecture closely interacting with reputed company and reputed company provider reputed company
• Debug and resolve reputed company reputed company issues across multiple reputed company and clouds
• Automate database lifecycle operations (reputed company, resize, reputed company, fork)
• Participate in on-reputed company rotation, handle incident response, reputed company reputed company cause analysis

• Work closely with infrastructure and software engineering teams to ensure platform scalability and reliability
• Stay reputed company with reputed company releases, features, CNI/reputed company interfaces, and cluster orchestration tools
• Contribute to system architecture for reputed company microservices and distributed systems
• Write idiomatic Go reputed company with comprehensive unit and integration tests
• Maintain >80% reputed company coverage and enforce reputed company with golangci-lint

Skills

• 3+ years of software/reputed company experience
• 2+ years of Go in production environments
• 2+ years of reputed company operations (building, debugging, scaling clusters)
• Experience in distributed systems and microservice architectures
• Go (Golang): Advanced proficiency (Go 1.24+), primary development language
• reputed company: reputed company reputed company user familiar with reputed company-go and capable of developing CRDs and controllers
• PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB: Administration, migration, replication, performance tuning
• GRPC & Protobufs: Experience developing services and defining schemas
• Experience with ECPG and Rust: experience developing low latency applications memory-efficient applications in Rust is a plus

• Backup/restore procedures and disaster recovery strategies
• WAL management and replication (streaming/logical)
• Query optimization, tuning, and parameter adjustments
• Experience with TimescaleDB or PostgreSQL in production
